In the matelso platform, we refer to the people with whom users communicate as contacts. Contacts can initiate incoming calls, chats, or appointment bookings, for example, but can also be reached via outgoing calls or emails.
This article shows you the different ways to create new contacts in the matelso platform.
You will find complete step-by-step instructions below. A video is also available:
Option 1: Contact list page
You can create a new contact on the contact list page using the “+” button.
You can access the list page directly via the “Contacts” menu item.

Option 2: Quick action in the menu
In the “Contacts” menu item, there is also a “+” button available as a quick action, which you can use to conveniently create a new contact.

Option 3: Company details page
If you are on a company details page, you can also create a new contact from there.
The associated company is automatically entered as a linked company in the new contact, but this can be changed at any time.

Option 4: Central search function
The platform-wide search in the upper left corner of the user interface also offers the option to create contacts.
After performing a search—regardless of whether an existing contact was found or not—you can create a new contact at any time using the “+” button.

Option 5: During or after a conversation
A new contact can also be created during or after a conversation.
A previously unknown conversation participant can be saved as a new contact as part of the conversation follow-up.

The matelso platform offers numerous intuitive ways to create new contacts—depending on which work process you are currently in. This allows you to quickly add new contacts in a context-sensitive manner.
