With the Data Distributor, the matelso platform offers the option of transferring relevant data and information to third-party systems, obtaining it from them, or triggering an email dispatch. Typical third-party systems include CRM systems, analysis solutions such as Google Analytics, or even simple spreadsheet files such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

In many scenarios, however, data should only be transferred to a third-party system if certain conditions are met. For this very purpose, the matelso platform provides a powerful and convenient filter function within the Data Distributor.

This article uses an example to show how you can send the contact ad name (first and last name) and the order value (individual cData field in conversations) to a Google Sheet document only if the order value exceeds a defined minimum amount.

Step 1: Open the filter function

The filter function can be used both:

– when creating a new Data Distributor configuration,
– and for existing configurations.

The following screenshot shows the filter settings for a configuration that has already been created:

Step 2: Define conditions for execution

In this dialog box, you define the conditions under which the Data Distributor configuration is triggered.

You can use any AND and OR links to map simple or complex conditions.

In the following example, the configuration is executed when:

– the order value exceeds €2,500

OR

– the order value exceeds €500

AND

– the contact is already a customer

This allows for highly flexible scenario modeling—from simple value comparisons to comprehensive business logic.

Step 3: Activate filters

After saving, the filter is immediately active and is taken into account each time the corresponding configuration is executed.

You can see whether a configuration has an active filter in the list view of the Data Distributor configurations in the “Filter” column.
